ABC's of Us

I read an ABC's of Us post over at According to Gus this morning and got inspired to whip up a quick one for Us.

ABC’s of Us (the whole dang family)

A.  Age:  Sharona: 13; Winnie: 4; Walter: 10; Beau: approx. 6; Alison (aka: Me); 37 Andy: 37

B.  Bed Size:  Queen (our next bed will be a king because we let the animals on the bed and they are squeezing us out!)

C.  Chore You Really Dislike: Me: Doing the dishes. We don’t have a dishwasher; Andy does all the dishes, that’s how much I hate that chore; Andy: Walking Winnie Cooper. She’s a bit temperamental with anyone but me…

I resent that. I am not temperamental. I'm just discerning.

D.  Dogs:  Obvy, Sharona and Winnie (I have a big animal loving family, this is the list of my Mom and siblings dogs; Scout (beagle), Shiloh (beagle), Millie (boston terrier), Gertie (boston terrier), Boots (Weineramer), and a brand new puppy (like yesterday!) so I don’t know his name yet.) 

E.  Essential Start to Your Day:  Me: Coffee; Andy: Tea; The dogs: Walkies; The cats: BREAKFAST

F.  Favorite Color:  Me: different colors depending on when you ask me, right now I am loving teal/turquoise blues; Andy: Red; The dogs: As far as I know they don’t have a fave color! The cats: BREAKFAST

G.  Gold or Silver:  Silver

H.  Height:  Me:  5″4; Andy:  5″6; Sharona: 28.5”; Winnie: 13”; The cats: taller than Winnie!

I.  Instruments You Play:  Me: None; Andy: Played the saxophone as a kid

J.  Job Title:  Me:  Associate Marketing Project Manager; Andy:  Delivery Driver; Winnie: Chief of Snacks; Sharona: Napping Specialist; Walter: Manager of Breakfast Delivery; Beau: Director of Breakfast Deliver

K.  Kids:  No, thanks.

L.  Live:  Burlington, VT (the best state in the union)

M.  Mom’s Name:  Me:  Linda; Andy: Louise; The pets: Alison

N.  Nicknames:  Me: my family nickname is Sis (don’t EVER call me unless you are my mother or brothers!); Andy: in high school it was Squid; Winnie: I wrote a whole blog post about this topic; Sharona: Rona-roo, Rona, Shay-Ro, Ronadoodle, Ro-Ro; Walter: Handsome boy; Handsomepants; Beau: Bo-Bo, Mr. Bojangles, and again, there’s been a whole blog post devoted to Beau’s many names!

P.  Pet Peeve:  Snow in April (yep, it’s happening right now!)

Q.  Quote From A Movie:  For Andy I defer to any Star Wars quote; but just to make things easy let’s go with, “May the Force be with you.” Personally I prefer the Battle for Endor...

S.  Siblings:  Me:  2 older brothers, one younger sister (deceased); Andy:  One older brother

T.  Time You Wake Up:  Approx.6:30 a.m. We were just discussing how if we sleep until 7 on the weekends it feels like we’ve slept in…oh, youth, we have you gone? ;)

U.  Underwear: Us: Always; The pets: Never

W.  What Makes You Run Late:  Pretty much everything.

X.  X-Rays You’ve Had:  Me:  none; Andy: Back x-ray Sharona: she’s had ACL surgery, so yes. Everyone else: Thankfully, No.

Y.  Yummy Food You Make:  I love to cook and Andy went to culinary school and worked as a chef for 20 years, it would be difficult to list all of the yummy food we make.

Z.  Zoo – Favorite Animal:  Pandas!! (finally got to see them at the National Zoo in D.C. a few years back)
